Hi Sybil, welcome to our warm KAS community. Sorry it's a bit belated. We hope you will enjoy the forum and your region's group. You should join the UK group!
There are lots of great discussions going on in the forum, including the monthly challenges.
We are still continuing our July Challenge - keep a newborn warm, making blankets for abandoned babies, and there have been some great results for the August in Africa challenge - you can see photographs under the photos menu. (Details of both challenges in the main forum). We're also embarking on our September challenge which is also under "challenges" in the forum.

Hi Sybi, just a little note to welcome you to the KAS forum and I'm sure you will find that everyone is so warm and friendly, not to mention inspiring! The knitted toys that you mention will always be welcome, at any time of the year. My Mum also has arthritic hands and she finds it difficult to knit for any length of time. I always say to her, only do what you feel comfortable with.
I look forward to seeing you on the forum, Sybil. Kind regards. Angela x
My daughter in law Barbara Thomas asked me to look at the Square Circle web site and I must say how very impressed I am at all the good work done by every one. Now that Christmas is fast approaching I am wondering if knitted toys would be welcome ?
I am a very slow knitter due to arthritic hands but would love to help.
