welcome wendy always nice to have new people. I hope you come on the blog pages and chat with us it looks like you have at least one child unless that is your baby picture. I have 3 grown boys visit my blog and you can learn more about me. welcome again.
hi Wendy are you trying to download from the sqaure vest pattern from example? You just fill in the form and then a letter appears with a downloadable pdf link which you can print from!
Miss Wendy - what a dill I am! The bell didn't even go off, although of course with your name, the fact that you are in Melbourne and of course your little boy - really how dumb am I. So pleased to have you here in the forum, thanks so much for joining. Don't worry about the 11th, we'll have other gatherings in time. We miss you in class! Miss Sandy
Hi Wendy, how lovely to have someone else here from Melbourne, Just passing to welcome you to the KAS community and hope that we can all join soon to have a knit-a-square event. Have a few people in the Ivanhoe area who want to get together on Saturday 11th to knit for the July Challenge - keep a newborn warm. Let me know if you interested, Sandy
Hi Wendy, good to hear from you. I have a little grandson called Alexander and he is 15 months old, just a little younger than you little boy, Declan. I live near Lincoln in Lincolnshire and my grandson (with his mum and dad!) lives in Hampshire so I don't see as much of him as I would like, although I have just been home a week after a lovely visit to see them. I have started a lovely winter-weight jumper for Alex and really must get cracking on that. In the meantime, I am also getting down to doing squares for the newborn babies for KAS.
I got involved with KAS by chance - I was looking at knitting for charity sites on the internet and came across Knit-a-Square. I was really impressed by the cause and the thought put into it by Sandy MacDonald and her family. I have not knitted for charity before and I find this particular venture quite amazing. The KAS site is just like a large family home - I am still finding my way around it! Just when you think you have explored every nook and cranny, along comes something else you have not seen before!
The downside is the amount of time you can spend getting involved online and that runs away with knitting/crocheting time, or other things - but that said, everyone is just so enthusiastic and inspiring. Look forward to talking with you again soon.
