Hi Peggy. I was just over on Melissa's wall and noted your comment and wanted to know how you're doing so I read it. You commented about only seeing your brothers and sisters at funerals and weddings....that's SO true! My husband's siblings are all a thousand miles from here and we've only ever visited them for weddings or funerals! My two brothers are way out west and a similar distance and I haven't seen one of them since he visited here 10 years ago. As he lives at an elevation I'd have trouble breathing at, I can't really visit him. The other brother just visited here because our dad is old and doddery and he wanted to see him in case he passed away soon, which he could, he's had several strokes already. So don't feel guilty about it hon, many of us are in the same boat. Hope you're doing well, I have been away 10 days on holidays and am very out of touch with the Forum. Love, Jeanne xoxoxoxo
Peggy: I have been missing hearing from you! I hope and pray that you are doing OK. I have just read through some of the comments on your page and now realize that you have had some health issues. I do hope you are on the mend. Know that prayers are coming your way from Knoxville! Love.
Hi Peggy :) Thank you for the lovely message that you left on my page. The crazy part though is that you left it last year August!! That is apparently how long it has been since I last logged in. I am SO sorry! … I’m graduating from nursing school and so things have been just a little crazy, stressful and busy to say the least. Yes, moving from South Africa to the States did take some adjusting, but it has definitely been a great experience! I moved in 2004. I am here with my parents and brother. Everyone else is back home so I can definitely relate with seeing family so seldom now. Sometimes not even for weddings and funerals :( The flight is just so incredibly expensive! I am also in my 20’s and still staying with my parents because yes it is very expensive to move out. However, I’m hoping it’s in the cards in the next couple weeks so I’m quite excited about this =) How are your squares coming along? Now that I’m graduating I’ll be able to have more free time to get involved again! I hope you don’t think me too strange replying after so long, haha. But thanks again for message!
Peggy, Just put the pattern I was talking about the other day on the yarn aholics therepy page. Let me know if you don't see it and I'll send again on here.
Peggy, HAP is taking new members for a limited time if you want to join. You send your knit or crochet rectangles 6x9 inch to MD. I think you would enjoy it and the membership closes in Jan .so hope you decide to join. It is a great project.Their forum isn't chatty like KAS but very helpful. All yarn worsted weight and acrylic and no pinks, pastels, or salmon colors. Can use variageted or solid colors HAP stands for Homemade afghans to thank our armed forces. Jan P.S. I send a big box to MD for about $10.50 of rectangles and skeins of yarn for the put together.

Hi Peggy
Haven't seen you on the KAS site for a long time, but on the off chance that you still check it out, just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday.
