I too have sent parcels during August/September, these were by airmail and have not seen anything on tee list. My belief is that they are just so busy (which must be good news). Also, I'm sure every parcel that arrives is not opened and sorted straight away.
We run a challenge each month. For the next three months it is all about squares. We have a grand total of 55,900 squares we are trying to achieve and would love you to participate.
Don't forget to post photographs of your work. We have an awesome gallery of the work of the KAS community which is really inspiring.
Some of our members further support KAS by making a small monthly donation through Paypal (top left hand corner). This is invaluable help as it ensures we can continue to ensure that your work is speedily distributed to the most needy children in South Africa. We are deeply grateful for any donation we receive, be it monetary or squares to help the orphans. Thank you.

Hi Lynn, welcome to the forum. I do hope that you enjoy being a part of this very friendly and supportive group of people. When you've had a chance to look around the site (the Photos are always worth a look) if you would like to join the UK group we'd love to have you with us. It's just for a bit of more local news/chat - we also enjoy talking to like-minded people all over the world.
My son lives in Newcastle so I do know some places in the area and we did actually get to South Shields earlier this year. Last time I visited I went to Kemp's woolshop in Sunderland who I have only dealt with online previously. I like your part of the country.
Happy knitting.
