Hello lovely knitters! My Mum, Janet Shepherd, who lives in Melton Mowbray but can't get out through disability, would love to find a way to send her knitted blankets (not separate squares) to Africa. Is there any way she can have them collected and posted or is that too unusual a request? Thanks and keep up the good work, Carole Clohesy
Thank you for agreeing to support KAS by introducing a bowl of yarn for knitters to contribute - it really does make a difference, and, over 40,000 children have benefited and made to feel loved & valued. You wife will be pleased to know that as each child is given their blanket and goodies, they are individually told that they are special to the future of South Africa and that people around the world love and care about them! I'll get my motorcyclist brother Nick to drop by, he's in Leominster!
Welcome and you can catch-up with events and news through our monthly news bulletin : KasSnippets will provide a taster of what happens during a KAS month!
Please check out the Helpful Hints tab on the menu bar.
We also have two new videos which are worth checking out :
Great work everyone is doing here. A customer of mine asked if she could leave some wool/yarn and needles for people to knit whilst in the shop. So far is has been very popular and I have even been doing the odd row myself - but I can't cast off...
If anyone ever passes Melton Mowbray in the UK, we always welcome knitters and can supply the wool!
