This discussion will focus on all the weekly activities that take place on

Tuesdays as our volunteers gather together to open parcels, 

sort, organized, pack and distribute all things KAS.

    Everyone in Johannesburg is struggling with the extreme heat this summer has brought … despite rain and hailstorms over last weekend we are still struggling!
    Prayers for Lindi please, as she is experiencing some health issues.

    Our get together this morning was all about gathering our blankets for KNIT-A-SQUARE to be photographed and packed ready for distributions.
    There was a very small post but thankfully we received squares to keep us busy till next time…

    After missing the last two weeks in the KASbarn (yes, we were in the Kruger Park again !) it was good to be back in the swing of things … more than 100 blankets in the “cake” to photograph first, then fold, then add to the collection on the shelves or bag, ready for distribution - phew !

    It’s still very hot here … a huge thunderstorm going on right now, cooling us down wonderfully and cooler weather around the corner when we will start our distributions.
     
    The team members are planning to get started on getting to know our new surroundings, east of Johannesburg, where there’s enormous, untapped potential for blessing countless children in ever-growing informal settlements. Exciting !!!

    They say time flies when you’re having fun well…it was a fun, chatty morning and here we are again opening parcels for KNIT-A-SQUARE. We seem to have the colour coding and sizing down to a fine art especially as we are blessed with beautiful squares from our contributors.
