Hi all, im a newbie to KAS and to knitting. Ive just about mastered the basics, been practising my squares and have set up a childrens knitting club in my childrens school. We're very eager to start our squares but im unsure of what wool to buy, does anyone have any suggestions? Thankyou Jenn

Hi Jenn, any wool will be fine. The children love bright colours. The only thing I would suggest is if it is a thin wool then using 2 strands together is a good idea. All squares are desperately needed, it takes 35 squares to make one blanket. I have sent you a welcome message with a link to the pattern book where you can get some ideas, both plain knitting and some with a pattern. So glad you have joined us and good luck with your knitting club. We would love to see some photos of your squares when you feel ready :)

Hi Jenn, it's wonderful that you have set up a children's knitting club.
Here are a few links that will help you:

Also the KAS Pattern book[see tab above] has patterns for squares. It lists the yarn and needle size needed to make an 8" square.
Since you are in Liverpool, you might like to join the UK group. The members are very helpful and will answer any questions you have.
