Hey all,

My name is Lucy (Lu to everybody), i'm 23 and have been knitting on and off since i was 6/7 (more off then on at the mo). I remember watching my nan make blankets and hats for my cousins when they were newborns, and was fascinated by it, so she started teaching me how to do it.

Im also in the process of teaching myself how to crochet.

 

I've always been interested in helping charities and also have a stash of unused yarn that is destined to stay in a box, so i decided to kill 2 birds with one stone.

 

Im looking forward to completeing and posting my first batch.

      Yes, I have joined the uk group. Not quite used to the layout of this site yet, may take me a while to get my bearings, lol.

    Hi Lucy,
    Great to have you with us. You will probably find that you knit a lot more now - many of us had not done much in recent times and are now thoroughly enjoying working for such a worthwhile cause. The photo section is always an inspiration and you will find items made by a wide range of abilities, from the highly skilled to absolute beginners but all aware that their work will be valued. Look forward to seeing pictures of your first batch maybe?
