Merry Christmas to all, I noticed in the pictures from Julia that there was a Christmas stocking hung by the bed in S.A. I wonder what other traditions S.A. has and how about other countries of forum members. U.S. hanging the stockings is done and Christmas trees and nativity sets and exchanging gifts on Christmas . Can you think of more?
On Dec. 6 we put out a single shoe by the window. If we've been good St. Nicholas drops by during the night and puts fruit, nuts, candy in the shoe for us, if not a stick or some coal. :) That comes from my German husband. He also likes advent wreaths, light a candle 1 each of the 4 Sundays before Christmas. I could never get the straw wreath to balance level in the ribbon loop hangers. Never occurred to me to put the danged thing on a dining room table instead, lol. Besides I always miss that first Sunday but get the other 3. Go figure! :P
