Well since others have been asking...here is a little bit about me. I'm married to Mike of 21 years, we have two daughters Sarah is 18 and Emily is 11. Emily was born on my birthday and Sarah was born just five days before Mike's so I guess you could say we both received great Birthday gifts. We have lived in Michigan all of our lives, and we now have one less at home as Sarah is in her first year @ Hope University in Holland MI.
I love being creative...doing most anything from knitting to cross stitch to scrapbooking to rubber stamping...and I love trying out new gadgets for crafting.
I'm very excited to be apart of this organization as these children really need our help, we have been so blessed in our lives that we need to honor God by giving back using our God given talents to benefit others less fortunate.
Looking forward to meeting and learning from many of you!
God Bless <><

How does it feel having one away at University? I remember driving the 2500 km with the car packed full (1200 miles) to deliver our daughter to University. What a trek and what an experience. It felt so strange to drive away and leave her there but she was well set up in a dorm and she was so excited by it all. She said it was a great experience for her because she met so many different peoples from around the world. Now she's across the world, in South Korea, teaching English but she's ready to come home after 2 years there and plans to settle in the country in our area. That'll be so great to have her back here again but I'm glad she's had the experiences and she is too.
I've never lived in one place...in order I've lived in Yorkshire, Birmingham(both U.K.), Lachine Quebec (Canada), Don Mills Ontario, Aurora Ontario, Winnipeg Manitoba, Edmonton Alberta, Dryden Ontario, Toronto Ontario, Pickle Lake Ontario (those are at opposite ends of Ontario) and back to Dryden where I am now, just above Minnesota. Even with all that moving it's amazing how many people know me. Either I've been a sterling example or I've done something nefarious they've never forgotten, LOL! ;)
p.s. I agree about using our talents. I'm very thankful to God for finding this charity and for giving me health enough to use my talents to help the kids overseas. When I think back to my first hats I kinda cringe. I'm doing much nicer ones now!!!
