Well, as the clock ticks past midnight in my part of the world, 
we enter a new year of wonderful, warm crafting for 'our' children.

    Happy New Year everyone. Let's hope we all have a peaceful and healthy year, and a year filled with bright ideas and busy hands creating lovely squares. Love your into Bev. I would love a piece of that orange flavoured cake. Do you like Lamingtons, I used to make them when I lived in South Africa. I haven't met anybody in Canada who bakes them. I read somewhere that Australia has a National Lamingron day, is that true ?

      Wow Pat, I've obviously missed out on a lot. Apparently, we have a national day for lamingtons on July 21st......haha.

      My Mum made quite a few lamingtons in her time. She also made jelly cakes, which were the same as lamingtons, but were dipped in red jelly instead of chocolate icing........jelly cakes were my fave....oh yum, just thinking about it.
