Hi - I was wondering if you had seen my post in the UK discussion group about the KAS 10th birthday party I am organising this August. It would be lovely if some of my local East Midlands KAS sisters were able to be there.
Hi Beth - - I am having a Knit A Square event at my home in Melton Mowbray on 19th August. I don't know if you would be interested or even available - but if you would like to know more please let me know. Rebecca
Hello!! I am in Melton Mowbray as well!!! Are you still here? Have you seen the cafe in the market square More Coffee? That is our base here in Melton. We also have a Facebook page if you do Facebook....... https://www.facebook.com/groups/1474546582806100/
How lovely to see you live in Melton Mowbray - I live just down the road from you! I am in Sileby near Loughborough. Welcome to KAS, it really is a lovely cause, and the forum is a great way to meet like minded people and gain inspiration from their work. with regards to Jigsaw, my neighbours and I did a lot (a lot for us that is!) as one of them was going in to Nottingham so she took them into Jigsaw there.
I hope enjoy this cause as much as I do! Great to see you on here - Kathy
Welcome to KAS, Beth from across the Pond in Canada. I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too. Do check out the New Member Guide which is found by clicking "Main Page" in the header above. To reach the Discussions just click Forum above and if you click on Photos above, you will see items that are heading to Africa, in all colors and shapes, plus those that have arrived there. If you click on Groups, above, you can join the very friendly UK group or any groups you wish, to chat with. Any questions just PM me. :) So, welcome to Knit A Square! Blankets and hats and sweaters direct from our hands to their hearts, a win-win. And now we’re helping out over in Zimbabwe too and they need everything over there. I just love making a real difference in a child’s life. So welcome aboard!
Hi Beth - welcome to this friendly and supportive forum. I find the photos page inspirational but usually stick to plain squares using up my little stash of remnants of wool.
Hi Beth, Welcome to the KAS forum and I hope you will enjoy being part of this friendly & lively community. Do you knit or crochet or both? Around the world caring people are all taking direct action and team-working with the Ladies of the Soweto Comfort Club - it is making a difference to many parentless children. When you've had a chance to look around the site you would be very welcome to join the UK group for more local news and chat.
You can also personalize your own page by clicking on the My Page tab on the menu. Also you can access Settings on this page and set your privacy terms. For questions click on the Forum tab and then KAS - Questions, Answers and Help.
Very glad your Google search directed to you our global knitting family! Check out the New Member Guide by clicking the "Main Page" tab above. There you will find all kinds of information about KAS. Another great section to look over is the Photo tab - everyone is so supportive of the work on display.
