Kathy I found and printed off the square bunny pattern, I am itching to "have a go" at it. Providing I've got a sharp enough needle to penetrate the blanket fleece I'm going to use, that is. Wish me luck!
Hi Kathy, I did not find it, each pattern was on their website or pinterest except for the beanie. However, I found it on Ravelry :)))) They have a page there. My first one is finished! Really a pattern to recommend for the KAS kids! Thank you so much. xo
I found the samaritan website but not the pattern. I went to their Pinterest page and I found the pattern of the mittens, but not the hat. (There is only one page of te pattern uploaded). Could you please find out for me? Thanks a lot. xo
If you are around and not at work we are having a tidy up session - sewing in ends, butterflying tails etc. - at More Coffee Cafe in Melton on Thursday 7th January from 2 to 3 pm (stay longer if you like).
Hi Kathy - hope you're well! Lovely to meet you properly last week - can I pick your brains about slip-ins? I've found some lovely pencil cases to send in my next parcel, but just a bit concerned that the zips are metal. I'm worried these might get picked up if I've written 'knitted squares' on the parcel... obviously they shouldn't really have any metal content! As slip-in queen (!), have you managed to get these through the postal system or would you avoid them? Similarly, I guess you've managed to get pencil sharpeners through? x
I believe that there will soon be a shop item for wool as Wendy Hardy asked me for the yarn shop details. As the local couriers might not make a delivery for a Tues. when the office is manned, there can then be quite a few phone calls and 'adjustments' to have the parcels actually delivered. As it is winter now and the KAS SA team is out making distributions, I would hesitate making another purchase. What we do know for sure, is that the retirement homes have a pool of women and men who would be willing to devote their knitting skills to KAS.
