Yes indeed, I will be posting a pattern. We launch the KASCuddle Knitalong
on Sat. the 18th so gather your supplies and be ready to start with us then.
Jeni, thanks for the kind words. We have always "given up" and I had just received an email regarding this amazing group of women and when my daughter asked me what she should give up for Lent, I suggested crocheting the squares together and she loved the idea! It is a win- win situation! (ok honestly, giving up chocolate is way tooooo hard!!!!)
How lovely to have started this project for Lent. Mine is a more boring "not eating chocolate, sweets, crisps or ice cream" so I now have more time to crochet cause I won't be eating bad things.
Welcome to the forum.

It is a pleasure to be a part of this amazing group of talented and giving people. As I have never made a garment, I will have to stick to squares. My 14 year old daughter and I are doing this together for Lent. I just taught her to crochet. It is so wonderful to be able to help this wonderful charity and it also is a wonderful project for my daughter and I to do together so I thank you!
Welcome to our warm KAS community. It's great to see you. We hope you will enjoy the forum and your region's group. You should join the USA group!
There are lots of great discussions going on in the forum, including the monthly challenges.
We have a challenge every month, if you want to get involved please do. It's not compulsory at all but some of the work done is just lovely. Have a look at the November challenge - the SLIP-OVER (under challenges in the main forum) this will give you an idea of some of the fantastic work this community is doing for the children of South Africa.
