Wow! They did a really good job of matching them with other squares ---- or did you send a whole blanket worth???? . Either way, they look wonderful now that they are all sewn up. Maybe one day soon we will get to see them wrapped around a warm and happy child.
You should be so proud of yourself. Keep Stitching. Sharon
Glad to be your friend Gillian... my husband was born in Yorkshire in Huddersfield. Also a minister who used to be in Dorchester where I live moved to a church in Penistone but I think she will be retired now. Happy knitting. x
Hi Gillian, delighted to be your friend. We have family in the north east of England and visit every few years, so I do have an idea of where in Yorkshire you are !
Greetings from across The Pond, in the middle of Canada! I love your colorful stretchy hats, what beauties and your octopus square suggests a sense of humour too. Welcome to a worldwide network of loving happy people helping African Aids orphans. Glad to have you with us. It's so heartening to know that in this global, often so impersonal world, we're actually making a difference, a REAL difference, in the lives of these children. Check out the Forum, above, for the various discussion threads, and Photos for all the lovely photos of members' work and Groups where you can join groups from countries around the world.
The Featured Discussions grouping (in the Forum section) show the most important subjects at the moment, latest challenges, latest news etc. I also recommend the Café KAS Discussion section, which contains the Our Furry Companions and Yarnaholics threads. I am so much a Yarnaholic! Thanks again for helping the AIDS orphans in Africa!
Hurrah! Another UK member of KAS, welcome Gillian, great to have you with us. I'm sure there are some other members in your part of the world. I am in Shropshire. Hope you enjoy helping us to keep the children warm.
