Hehehe, I wish that were the case! Unfortunately, life goes on, even though there is snow, which forces us to trudge through it and only WISH we were sitting with a ball of wool. :o)

Hi Kate! Thank you for the welcome. I've actually been part of the forum from the beginning, back when it was in a different format (pre-Ning). I recently joined the UK group so I could answer a question about tallies. I live north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada (aka across the pond!) but would give my left arm to be able to live in the UK. :o)

Thank you Kate for your welcome. I am in Glastonbury and the weather is no better!  This is a lovely idea and I am really enjoying it, jane

If you've been looking at the photos on my page I didn't make everything - I have a shop and people bring me stuff to send.

There are several tallies that you can add to if you wish. The UK one tends to list everything sent, so does the 2011 tally on page 2 of the forum categories. Under challenges we just list whatever was asked for, currently squares and hats. Some people prefer not to tally as they feel it adds pressure and that's fine;  the only important thing is the amount of children benefitting in South Africa. Have you seen the February challenge - seeing how many busloads of children we can warm?

Welcome back Kate, so glad you've kept up knitting squares as you're just in time for the February-April challenge where we're using lots of squares to fill up "buses" with blankets for the children!  I was in France way back in 1972, a lovely country, so scenic, such history, such art... :)

Hello Kate, welcome to the UK group. The group is growing nicely and we're always happy to have new members. We have our own tally just for fun and encouragement and give each other news about yarn bargains etc and some of us have met up 'for real.' I'm sure you will make lots of friends and find this as addictive as many of us do.

Welcome back Kate, don't know how long it has been since you dipped into the Forum, but there have been some changes.  Kalai has outlined more in her introduction on the Main Page tab in the centre column.  Please take time to go through the various topics on the Forum tab as a lot has and is happening!  I'm in St. Albans in Herts, whereabouts are you living?

Anyhow, just enjoy the Forum and catch up.

You can also personalize your own page by clicking on the My Page tab on the menu.  Also you can access Settings on this page and set your privacy terms.  Pam

Hello KAS knitters/hookers!  I think I may have joined already when I lived in France, but I've been back in the UK just under a year now, and although I have been knitting KAS squares, I haven't updated my profile or anything yet.  It's good to be back!
