Wonderful photos, so happy that these beautiful children have a blanket and soft toy to cuddle on chilly nights
Thank you so much for your kind encouragement 🙏🏻🤗🤗 It is always a privilege to be the last link in this beautiful chain of love and thoughtfulness.
Athele, I sent this link to our youngest daughter, she and her husband are going through the process to adopt a young boy from Sierra Leone. Susannah and Reggie visited the orphanage for a couple of weeks in July. They said it was heartbreaking seeing the children in the orphanage but even more so seeing young children wandering the streets. If everything goes according to plan they will return to finalise the adoption in December.
So many blessings on your daughter and her new little family in the making's journey 🤗🤗 That little fella will be so so happy to find his forever folks 🙏🏻💜
A report from Athele during the week of September 23...
My daughter is a primary school teacher. For the last few years she has been in charge of Elephant Class and had accumulated various elephant themed toys and end of term gifts. This summer she moved classes and all the class names have been changed. The little girl on the right in this photo is holding a Dumbo toy that my daughter donated from her class. What an incredible feeling.
Oh my word, Patricia, your story touches my heart so deeply. Please pass on our profound thanks. Estelle went to the trouble of driving across town to get all the toys she had for me to take 600km north of Johannesburg to this remote and mostly extremely impoverished community. Because I'm known in these parts when they hear I'm camping in the nearby River Camp, soon word gets out that the 'blue bird' has got blankets in the boot (our word for trunk) and right away I was told about these quadruplets. By the first afternoon they'd been brought to our campsite by their minders on behalf of their very grateful parents.
That makes these photos even more special. I hope your daughter is tickled pink by seeing one of her Ellie in a distribution.
Oh I'm delighted to read this!! Aren't they the cutest girls xx
It was a privilege to meet quads, especially naturally conceived 😌 and in such a remote place. They had the most adorable names, especially considering they were to make up 4 of a family of 12 children, but sadly I can only recall one name, Blessing. Mom couldn't bring them because she works as a clear at a camp over the river. Very grateful Dad sent this picture of them back at their house, along with a few others. So dear of him.
