Hi Wendy...and welcome from Western Australia.....
Wow! How lucky are you living in Hawaii??!!??
You are a Director of Nursing, have six children, grandchildren and you have spare time??? Already I think you are amazing and I haven't even seen your crochet work yet...LOL.
I look forward to seeing some squares from you so please do post them in the photo section.....no pressure...hee hee.
Well I hope you enjoy being part of this wonderfully supportive community.....as we work towards a common goal of warming these vulnerable children. Nice 'meeting' you. :)
Thank you for the nice welcome Bev!! Yes, Hawaii has been an interesting place to live. I am originally from Michigan but my husband is what we call a "local boy" from Hawaii, so here we are on the island of Oahu. My two older children are grown and out of the house- the rest are four boys ages 17, 14, 12 and 4. I am busy but I don't really watch too much television- so I crochet at night. I am one of those that will have no problem finding things to do once I retire- too bad it is still a long way off. I am enjoying the KAS community- everyone has been so friendly. will try to get pics up as soon as I have a few squares completed! Thanks again and nice meeting you too!!
Everything I had typed did not show up under my title, so maybe this will work. I am a Director of Nursing and mother of six, so in my spare time I crochet at night to help me wind down and relax. I currently donated my latest project for a silent auction and did not take pics. I am working on an afghan for my third coming grandchild and often make skateboard beenies for my boys. I just crochet but someday would love to learn to knit. My fondess memories as a child are watching my grandmother knit ( it was usaully for me). I am excietd to get started on some squares, I'm actually headed out this morning to go buy some yarn. Thanks to all for the warm welcomes! Much Aloha,
Hi Wendy, we look forward to seeing your comments and photos of your work on the Photo tab. Please do share a few lines about yourself and why you want to support the work of KAS.
