Thank you for the music Patricia. It put me in a Xmas mood. Do you ladies remember the year (I think our Ann started the idea) where we all discussed what our plans were for the holidays, I remember Valerie posting a picture of Xmas baking that her sister-in-law had baked. Ann knitted those mittens for her grandson and his girlfriend .One mitten each and a combined one for holding hands. Perhaps we could share our plans etc under the heading of our December theme. If you are okay with that Patricia ?

Pat, it was December 2017 that Anne hosted that fun idea of sharing with each other our Christmas plans and traditions. It was alovely idea. As for the mittens you described, I think Anne would have been be thrilled that you remembered!
These are Anne's words....
WOE IS ME!
My grandson has a very special girlfriend in his life. He has asked me to make them a pair a "Hand-holding" mittens which I think he wants to give her as one of her presents.
If you are not familiar with these, they are basically three mittens - two normal, and one which has two cuffs on a mitten-sized sack which let's them hold hands inside.
I managed to find a pattern on the Lion Brand site, I have the red yarn he wants, and two weeks to get them done. Then I remembered that I gave all my sets of double pointed needles to the charity shop a while back thinking I would never use them again.
I'm now in the process of calling friends to see if they have needles, failing which I will have to go to the charity shop and if they are still there, buy my needles back again!
NOTE TO SELF - stop throwing things out. Your old rule of "I might need this someday" was correct!
You must be going back an awfully long way, Pat, as I don't remember any of that! Of course I'd be perfectly happy for our little community to share any news or memories.
