  • Thank you everybody for your kind comments and for your contributions. I got a lot of pleasure out of my de-stash month but I must say I also like being appreciated and being an inspiration!

    Patricia

    For hosting December, once again.

Not only were you a SUPER host in one of the busiest months of the year, but your variety of squares was such an inspiration to us all. xo

    Thank you also to Everyone

for your continuing support of the children and Team South Africa and also for your friendly banter on our forum.

KAS is such a wonderful community to be a part of. xoxo

  •  The top four are inspired by your 'Square Berry Squares', from earlier this month, Patricia. Bottom two are in seed stitch. They are a nice cream colour, unfortunately, cameras and phones are not my friends.  :))

    • Nicely done, and a great way to end the month.

    • lovely squares.  seed (moss ?) stitch - one of my favorite stitches to do.  Are the top ones a 7 stitch repeat?  I really like the pattern.

      • Thanks Arlene, they are a 6 stitch repeat. 36sts cast on. Aran weight yarn with 5mm needles.

        • THANKS!

Thank You, Patricia, for hosting this month.   Your fabulous squares and music suggestions were so inspiring.   We really appreciate all that you do to keep us motivated and on track.

And now, on to a new year, with new yarn, and new ideas, and lots of warmth for the children.

  • Oops!  I missed the end of the year by a few (or more) hours.

There have been so many wonderful squares that I didn't get a chance to comment on, but WOW! the children have some treats headed their way, and the blankets will be so warm and lively.

Here are just two cream-ish squares that I managed to make this month.  Not sure about the colors, but I'm sure the volunteers will make them work with all the other squares for a warm blanket.
