Just joined this forum - my first so still working out how to use it properly. I have been crocheting squares for ages using up my oddments of wool - usually when travelling in the car (not when I'm driving I hasten to add!). Have been looking for somewhere to send them and came across this site. My sqaures were all 6" but I'm now making them bigger! Having lived in South Africa for many years I understand the probelm of AIDS and think this is a wonderful project.

Glad you have joined us Irene, it is always helpful to have members who actually know and understand the issues facing Ronda and the team in South Africa. Also you may be able to help when questions are raised concerning the difficulties. Certainly glad to hear you do not knit and drive at the same time, it is bad enough seeing people driving & using their mobile phones..............Once you made some squares please do add them to the Photo tab - we all love to oooh & aaah over the goodies to be sent to South Africa.
