Hello, fellow KASers! I think we should share our personal KAS goals that keep us motivated, plus I am curious what other members' goals are. My personal goals are 1 square a day and 1 hat for every 30 squares. What are yours?

My personal goals are not only to increase my own output of cuddles and squares, but to spread the word more fully
about KAS in our church and grow the group. We have about 16 active knitters right now. I would like to double that.
To that end I am in touch with about six new knitters and crocheters so far this year. We plan a Sponsor-a-Square
table at church Sunday morning Feb. 13 and that will be another means of getting the KAS word out.
I guess my goal is to try to remain flexible to providing for the varying needs ("wish lists") that come up in South Africa and let those inspire my creative side. Somedays there is a call for squares, I do squares, another day cuddles, I do cuddles.... that way I am always learning new skills, and learning keeps me happy and healthy. Buying small soft toys gives me a chuckle, and laughter is healthy so that is good for me too! I look forward to reading, day by day, what the current needs and or wishes are for the children in South Africa as well as the adults who care for them.
I have also decided to concentrate a bit more on quality and less on quantity. Postal rates from Italy to South Africa have almost doubled, and therefore I may have to decrease the amount of things I send. I may slow down my production a bit and take more care making items. Maybe.... we'll see!
:o)
Well my personal goal for last year was 1000 squares. I did manage it but as I crochet, it is easier for me than the knitters. This year I am starting off with a personal challeneg of 100 hats. I will still be working on squares in between cause i do get bored if I am too restricted.
Oh and more importantly - my other challenge is to get my stash back down again. For a variety of reasons I have amassed a huge amount of yarn recently so must really work on taming the yarn mountain.

Hi Cathy - where there's a will there's a way. 3 blankets in one month is quite a challenge but do-able. The very best of luck to you and all power to your fingers.
