Did any of you manage to listen to Ronda's interview? I was anxious that you might not be able to find it. It is on your home page at the top on the LH side.

Yes, I listened to it as well. As Dawn said, it made me want to jump on a plane tomorrow. We really appreciate everything that is done for the children.

very lovely to hear your voices. The problem is overwhelming but she sums up what we all are feeling, I think. well done.............diane
Can't seem to get more reply to load, very frustrating. I was saying that waiting for governments seems to be pointless. People get something going, push the pebble downhill, get it rolling and THEN everybody else chimes in. As Barry Manilow sings in the superb song "One Voice"..."One voice, singing in the darkness, all it takes is one voice, singing so they hear what's on your mind and when you look around you'll find there's more than one voice..." It goes from 1 voice to 40, always makes me cry, just that inspiring a song. It totally describes what's happening at KAS. A friend had the same process happen, an area desperately needed a youth centre, nothing being done for years, he had the funds, he started it going and everybody THEN chimed in and corporations are now doing most of it financially. I see companies beginning to show interest in KAS too, to help out, which is awesome. One person gives the pebble a push and suddenly more people and more people show up. Gotta love that!

Thank you you two for expressing these sentiments. Both have come on a day where your encouragement is greatly valued.
I meant to add that I've now listened to Ronda's interview and I liked her reminder that the smaller children still need the smaller sweaters. I am tackling a large teen go-over but sometimes they're abit daunting for me, just like making an entire large blanket would be, so Ronda encouraged me that the smaller projects are hugely needed. :) I'm so excited we're getting to help keep kids of all sizes warm!
I have been clicking on it since it first appeared, but only managed to get it today. It made me wish that I could get on a plane and come and do some volunteering!!!
If we have been feeling overwhelmed and having sleepless nights, I can only imagine what Ronda and the helpers at the other end are going through.
If there is ANYTHING at all we can do to ease that burden for them I hope they will let us know.
I'm sure I speak for everyone connected to knit a square when I say we do think about you at the other end.
Keep up the good work, and I hope you get the extra help you need soon.
Love Dawn x
