Ever wonder what happens with all that mail that arrives in South Africa? It goes to the KAS Barn where many volunteers SORT everything out to eventually be distributed to local children.

KAS Barn activity form December 3, only one more opening day for 2019 that will be next week December 10. Time to clean up and get ready for the new year.

Erin, Ronda's daughter and KAS Board Member was able to make the monthly Board meeting, she came all the way from Cape Town. All Board Member were present.
One of the tops/jumper/sweater KAS has recently received. There have been enough lately to be included in a distribution or two.
We celebrated Vivienne's birthday.

These square came from a school girl from St. Teresa's Convent.
It has become quite the thing form several schools to bring us their squares, (sometimes in very interesting shapes and sizes), for us to provide letters of thanks in support of their community service hours achievement for their schools.
Schools that we most frequently receive squares from are: St. Teresa's - Rosebank Cont, Reddam College Bedfrodview, Holy Rosary Convent Edenvale, St. Benedict's College in Bedfordview, St. Andrews Girls High in Bedfordview, Heronbridge School in North Riding and Beaulieu College in Kyalami.
The Barn was a beehive of activity on November 5. A large parcel of blankets from Croatia came in, their 50th package and the team rolled blankets in preparation of future distributions.

I love seeing the toys on the outside of the rolled blankets. Lots of interesting photos, a new blanket cake, shelves filling up and gorgeous toys. I’m thrilled to see my blanket for Bev’s this month’s road safety theme, I’d made it early and sent it off, seeing it the barn has made my day!

It has been very busy here at ‘St Pancras Knitters’ and we thought you might like to know what has been happening. I’m not sure you will remember when we sent the article that was in our local paper back in 2017 having sent our 100th blanket and were so thrilled and thankful for all the support we had received to enable us to do this. Well, we have been overwhelmed at the support that has continued and indeed continues by all our knitters and those within the church family and local community who support us not only by knitting but by donating postage funds and wool. This has resulted in us recently sending you our 400th blanket!
I have attached the recent local newspaper article and photo that followed our 400 celebration when 24 of our knitters and supporters got together for a ‘come and share’ lunch and were amazed that the local paper took such an interest. This has resulted in further interest and an amazing amount of wool being donated. (The photo of the write up is small so I have also attached a copy of the script with the link)We are aware of course that 400 in the big picture is so little compared to what is needed so the work goes on! Note the knitted bunting in the picture with a sparkling KAS on the middle ones in South African colours!
We are always prayerful for all the children and very much too for you and your team for all you do. We pray that the vision and support will continue to be strong for you, that the Lord will continue to provide all your needs, and for health and strength for you all as you continue serving in this way.
