What's on Your Hooks and Needles in April 2025

Ah, the month I have been waiting for

and it's no April Fool's Day joke......

This month the CoM (colour of the month) is....

PINK

I felt inspired by this poem

that I discoverd.......sadly, I can't seem to locate who penned it.

Pink’s Lullaby

“Pink’s Lullaby” is a calming ode to the nurturing aspect of pink, often associated with comfort and care. It paints an image of a serene evening, where the color brings warmth to the world.

When evening comes in pastel tones,

And sunlight for the moon atones,

The sky wraps us in arms of pink,

As stars above begin to wink.

Like softest sheets on childhood bed,

Or gentle touch on sleepy head.

Pink’s lullaby, a soothing hum,

As day to night does finally succumb.

So rest your eyes, let dreams unfurl,

As pink engulfs the waking world.

To every heart, its warmth apply,

In the soft strains of pink’s lullaby.

Whichever colour and yarn inspires you to create warmth for the children, this month, please share your crafting with us all.

Completely understand, Sharon.......I started April with such promise, but then got 'side-tracked' soooo many times.

    • I'm really looking forward to spying these numbered bear squares within blankets Bev.   I'm willing you through any more numbers you have up your sleeve.   Certainly a rewarding personal undertaking that needs seeing through.   Good luck babe xx

    • This whole set of squares just has me smiling and laughing.   Cuteness to the upmost degree.   Won't the children love them!

    • Still going strong with the cuteness factor, Bev. Love this idea.

Many Thanks, Bev, for heading up another successful month.   Sorry I seemed to disappear for awhile there, just recovering from months and months of visitors, but I've checked on all the gorgeous things that have been added here, and look forward to seeing the blankets that will result from these beautiful squares.

  • Thanks Karen. I, too, have 'pink' projects started and not completed.  :((
