Welcome to September 2025
It is the first day of Spring for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere and my favourite season.
The CoM (colour of the month) is........
A lovely, soft shade that can be nice on its own, or mixed with just about any colour you can think of.
As usual my thoughts turn to food.....haha.
Cookies and cream (icecream)
Peaches and cream yoghurt (yum)
Strawberries and cream (one of my favourite lollies/sweeties)
Scones with raspberry jam and cream
Chocolate layered cake with cream filling.
Pavlova with kiwifruit, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries....any berries.....and cream.
I think I've covered just about every colour .

Cream is so versatile.
So.....if you have some cream in your stash, perhaps you might like to create some pjs or striped/patterned squares containing cream.
My apologies if I've made you hungry....I'm starving!!

18 handwarmers + 4 beanies. The two beanies on the right are new, bought in Primark. After making the two on left my hands and wrists were so sore I decided to take the cowards way out!
Totally agree with, Mireille. Not worth causing your hands and wrists grief. I do LOVE your handknitted ones....the colour combos are FAB and they look so toasty warm.
A standing ovation for all your handwarmers, Diane. All those stripes....WOW! I usually prefer to knit in variegated so that I can create different colouring patterns, but without all the ends...haha.
The two beanies you made are lovely but we have to make sure we take care of ourselves too. Fantastic handwarmers - I've learned that I don't have the patience for them and certainly not that many!
Colour of the Month squares in Spiked Lemon Peel Stitch.
Dreamy, creamy squares. Is the top one a different shade, it looks slightly lemony?
No, I think it's just because of the way I've taken the photo so you're seeing the top one double thickness!
Great textured squares and they look sooo warm. Thanks for sharing another crochet stitch to try!
These squares really do look like lemon peel, really gorgeous crochet Patricia xx
PERFECTION, Patricia!!
I LOVE this stitch....and that is a dreamy, creamy colour. Somewhere in the back of my mind it reminds me of fabric that my mother or aunts had a piece of clothing made from. :))
