What's on Your Needles and Hooks in January 2025?

Happy New Year
to you all.

Well, as the clock ticks past midnight in my part of the world,
we enter a new year of wonderful, warm crafting for 'our' children.

Starting the year off on a bright and cheery note....
The Colour of the Month (CoM) is

ORANGE

        • There is so much good about buying yarn online, but there are also downsides, too.  Of course, not being able to feel the yarn and not being able to see the color are two of the downsides.   I just placed an order online, with fingers crossed.   Will I be thrilled or disappointed?   Time will tell.

(I should add, I don't actuallyNEED any yarn.   In fact, I might have trouble fitting it all onto the yarn shelves.   I better get working fast to clear out some of the yarn already stored on my shelves to make way for the new!)

          • I hear you, Sharon. I'm feeling rather smug because I have managed to knit 300gms of my recent purchases, so far this month. However, that still leaves about 3.7kg of 'new yarn' that I didn't really have room for....haha. I have given up trying to fit it 'somewhere'....but I will definitely not be buying anymore.  :))

I hope your incoming yarn is everything you hope it will be.

    • I love thes squares. (the pattern really shows up in this colour too!  I'm saving the photo for my file to use it as guide -and inspiration!)

    • I love the pattern and the colour, Bev.

Blanket 98    I did the knitting part of this blanket for the CoM Purple in November, but have only now got round to crocheting the border and sewing in ends.    Double strand - Bonus Buzz for one strand and Aldi So Crafty Purple Impression for the second - 6.5mm needles.

Blanket 99   CoM Cream in December for the knitted part of this, teamed with Hit Jakar aran wool from ebay.   The colours are so vibrant in this one.   7.5mm needles

Blanket 100    Aldi So Crafty Cream for CoM December and a load of mine and my friends leftovers joined together with the magic knot.   This kind of knitting is one of my favourites, and this time was no exception to this feeling as some of the remnants I hadn't used for 2 years or so - it felt like a trip down memory lane when I reached an aged yarn.   6.5mm needles

    • Outstandingly beautiful blankets Karen. xo
