What's on Your Needles and Hooks in January 2025?

Happy New Year
to you all.

Well, as the clock ticks past midnight in my part of the world,
we enter a new year of wonderful, warm crafting for 'our' children.

Starting the year off on a bright and cheery note....
The Colour of the Month (CoM) is

ORANGE

    • Beautiful Diane, the colour is amazing! ................ are the right hand side ones the stitch that Kira gave us years ago?

      • Thanks Karen, the stitch is called Honeycomb Slip Stitch, very easy! I found it online several years ago but haven't a clue where!! Don't recognise the name Kira...

        • Kiran Singh, Feb 2022 Theme, Honeycomb Stitch.   I came across this in my "Want to Try One Day" book x13399398069?profile=RESIZE_400x

          • Yes this is the stitch, a 2 row repeat.

            DK 4mm 45 stitches, 86/88 rows, weighs approx 21g

            DK 4.5mm 41 stitches, 76'ish rows, weighs approx 19g

I have yet to knit it in Aran weight

    • Such a happy, cheerful color.   Texture is great, too.   These are winners, Diane.

    • These squares are positively glowing, Diane. I love orange.

    • Fantastic, these pop right off the page.

    • Oh wow, wow WOW, Diane!! Your orange squares are STUNNINGLY bright, BEAUTIFUL and oh-so-neat!!

LOVE the textures..Is that Zanny's basketweave? I started to do a little bit of that pattern in cream at the end of last month, but didn't like my tension, so decided to leave it for another day.  :))

      • Thanks Bev, yes it is Zanny's basketweave. I have had to adjust my stitches to make 8" square. I find 38 stitches is good with DK and 4mm needles. Therefore I K3/P3 at the beginning and end of each row

  • Can someone please put me out of my misery and tell me where to find 'members patterns - squares'? I've had a bit of a look, but it's just not happening for me.  :((

    Thanks.  :))
