What's on Your Needles and Hooks in January 2025?

Happy New Year
to you all.

Well, as the clock ticks past midnight in my part of the world,
we enter a new year of wonderful, warm crafting for 'our' children.

Starting the year off on a bright and cheery note....
The Colour of the Month (CoM) is

ORANGE

  • I'm not going to mention names.( too many to mention) but you all know who you are. This months contribution of knitted squares,  crocheted Suarez and complete blankets are outstanding. Wonderful colours, great patterns and so much love and care put into your projects . Well done to all of you.

  • I wanted to carry on with my December De-Stash squares until I'd made 100, so this is the final batch of various odds and ends. Time to move on to the orange!

    • Well, this is quite the bounty!  Loving the bottom photo.

    • You're putting all the rest of us to shame, Patricia.   Your squares are so pretty, colorful and fun, and perfectly made.

Is the stash basket empty now?   Enjoy your new yarn now.

      • Nowhere near empty, Sharon, but I'm pleased with what I've achieved.

    • A grand collection of squares (and with orange accents and squares for the January Colour of the Month as well!)

    • You must have a fab imagination, Patricia. You use colour combinations in SO many different ways.

LOVE them all, but think my faves would have to be the green flower on the black sparkly yarn, the bottom left in the second set and the middle right, placed like a diamond in the same set.

      • I do love experimenting with colour, Bev, and some combinations work out better than others. But then we all have different tastes, so something I may think hasn't worked could turn out to be another person's favourite!

        • I so know what you mean, Patricia. I hummed and haa-ed over an applique that I was going to put on a square yesterday, trying to decide whether it really looked its best on an orange square, or was it because I wanted it to.....it went back in the box for another day.....haha.

    • Your output has been fabulous + so varied Patricia x.  You should certainly have way less leftovers in your stash and therefore can afford to be smug about your recent bargains. I'm sure you're bursting to get into some new yarn, I always really enjoy that part x
