Well, as we begin a new year, may we all be feeling refreshed
(I guess it depends on how hard you partied last night...haha)
with new yarn, new patterns, new ideas and renewed energy to create loving warmth for 'our' children.

"The second of these two squares finished at 10.30pm New Year's eve.
I bought twelve, 50gm balls of this yarn for $1/ball a few years back and told myself I would knit them when I had time to knit all twelve balls in one month. Silly me thought this might finally be 'that' month. I got distracted by yarn gifts from my sister and last minute purchases of Christmas sparkle yarn.....and we all know how time gets away from us.......
So, here are two squares (took less than a ball) and the rest can take their turn at a later date."

I, too, wonder how the stash never seems any smaller, even after finishing a big project. Oh, yeah, it might be the emails filled with discounts on yarn at every store, online and brick-and-mortar. The other day, I looked at my yarn shelves and thought, "I won't need to buy any yarn this year, because it looks like I've got plenty." Within hours, I saw a sale on one of my favorite yarns, and whoops! an order was placed. But eventually some lucky child will have a nice soft, warm blanket so that's a win-win. And that is my excuse!"
