CHRISTMAS IN JULY
Whether your temps are hot or cold,
July is a good month to plan for Christmas.
What ever you create this month
has plenty of time to arrive in South Africa
for distributions made in December.
Green, White and Red...
...a touch of Yellow or Blue.
We can't wait to see what squares you
will post in this discussion...
or blankets.
Remember there is a need for hand-warmers and
soft cuddly toys.
Our Color of the Month in GREEN.
How many shade of green can you use in your projects?
Replies
Not very Christmassy, colour Gentle Jade
I love this colour it's a bit like duck egg blue or green.
Ooh, Diane, it's a lovely shade of green. And great texture, too!
Diane, comment faites-vous ce joli point qui ressemble à un nid d'abeilles ?
Mireille, here is the pattern for the Honeycomb Slip Stitch. I cast on 45 stitches
HONEYCOMB SLIP STITCH
Cast on odd number of stitches and knit first and last stitches. This is a 4 row repeat.
4mm DK cast on 45/47 stitches, approx 84 - 86 rows
4.5mm DK cast on 41/43 stitches, approx 76 rows
Row 1 Knit, this is the right side
Row 2 K1 *slip1 purlwise with yarn at back K1* K1 to end of row
Row 3 Knit
Row 4 K2 *slip 1 purlwise with yarn at back K1* K2 to end of row
Happy knitting!
Merci Diane pour ces explications : je ferai un essai un jour prochain
Ooh, I LOVE to see some lighter greens in a Chrissy blanket, Diane. These will be PERFECT!
I am kicking myself that last time I did a Stylecraft order (from Lovecrafts in the UK), I only ordered one ball of a really pretty midgreen.
Squares oozing sophistication Diane - I must 'doooo' this style of square ⭐
J'aime beaucoup le coloris Diane (très rafraichissant par temps de canicule) et le point très joli.
I've been working with some jade yarn too. Fun color and compliments so many other colors.
Neat work as usual.
