CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Whether your temps are hot or cold,

July is a good month to plan for Christmas.

        Mireille, here is the pattern for the Honeycomb Slip Stitch.  I cast on 45 stitches

         

        HONEYCOMB SLIP STITCH                                                                                                 

        Cast on odd number of stitches and knit first and last stitches. This is a 4 row repeat.

         

        4mm                    DK cast on 45/47 stitches, approx 84 - 86 rows

        4.5mm                 DK cast on 41/43 stitches, approx 76 rows

         

        Row 1                   Knit, this is the right side

        Row 2                   K1   *slip1 purlwise with yarn at back K1*   K1 to end of row

        Row 3                   Knit

        Row 4                   K2   *slip 1 purlwise with yarn at back K1*   K2 to end of row

      Ooh, I LOVE to see some lighter greens in a Chrissy blanket, Diane. These will be PERFECT!

      I am kicking myself that last time I did a Stylecraft order (from Lovecrafts in the UK), I only ordered one ball of a really pretty midgreen.

      I've been working with some jade yarn too.  Fun color and compliments so many other colors.

    All the beautiful red, green and white squares...I'll never forget your absolutely stunning Christmas blankets Patricia...all the different squares and the "woven" one. Just one picture square or an appliquéd square make each blanket special but cannot be completed without the wonderful PJ's.
