A big thank you to everyone who has sent squares, tops and beanies !
Every Thursday, Ronda and a small group of volunteers gather to open parcels from around the world. Even though this is a tremendous task, they are absolutely delighted to receive these wonderful donations. The generosity of knitters and crocheters is providing garments and blankets to keep the children warm during the winter months of June, July and August.
See attached files for the Squares Lists.
Here are the totals for November and December.

-bundle into lots of 5 or 10, if possible
2. Inside the parcel include a slip of paper with
-your name
-address
-list and number of items

It is lovely spotting your name on these lists. Always good to know that our squares are getting to where they are meant to be.

Hi Andrea, thanks for sending your squares. If you sent by airmail they will arrive fairly quickly, if by seamail then it will take 6-8 weeks before they arrive.
A complication is the fact that the postal service in South Africa is on strike ! Hard to say when parcels can be picked up from the post office. Here's what Ronda had to say: http://forum.knit-a-square.com/forum/topics/postal-strike-in-south-...
In the 4 years I have been sending parcels [one a month], I have had all arrive safely.
Do post photos of your squares. We would love to see them
[I have also replied on your page ]
Linda :-)
I posted off my first completed three plain jane squares in early January. I have since completed 12 more squares and will post these off once I know the others have arrived safely. Thank You
Hi KASers:
I was just wondering which month of the square lists am I listed on. I thought I might be on the November list. Maybe it's the October list?
Sincerely,

Alicia, your name does appear on the October list http://www.knit-a-square.com/support-files/october2012.pdf .
If you've sent more since then it may be that they haven't been opened yet - it can take some time as there are so many parcels.
Thank you to everyone for such a wonderful achievement. KAS is such a great team effort. I would like to echo other comments that the Square Lists are brilliant and it is so motivational to see that my parcels have been received and being put to such good use. When sending items abroad there is always a suspicion "Have they reached their destination" and I appreciate the efforts of everyone who compiles the lists - well worth while as it spurs me on to further efforts. . It also means, along with the Forum discssusions, we are not knitting in a vacuum but are part of a world wide network.
Thank you Linda. Very helpful information.
So glad you saw your name Joy ! As Bev said, it is exciting and motivating :-)
Yay, JO!!! Seeing your name certainly is motivating .....and exciting isn't it? So glad you found yours. :o)
