WELCOME TO NOVEMBER
The CoM (colour of the month) is......
BLACK
An understated colour that can go unnoticed until you are looking to make another colour or a pattern stand out.
It is not an 'easy' colour to knit with, if like me, your eyes are getting just a little older.
This month, whatever you may have on your hooks and needles, a little black can go a long way......
It makes a fabulous contrasting colour
Thinking zebra stripes?????
So if you have a little (or a lot) of black in your stash.....
please consider popping a little into a square or two.

Bev,
Thanks so much for a month filled with black. All these creations will really stand out in any blanket. Can't wait to see them in The Blanket Room.
You have been an amazing hostess for 2025. Can't wait to see what the new year brings.
I went to my sister's about a week ago and she was having a de-stash of yarn that she wasn't going to use. Her bed was covered in yarn and she told me to take what I liked....as much as I liked. I was very restrained and only took a couple of kilos, if that....haha. Here are two squares made from some of her black sparkly yarn and her neon yellow/green.
Hearing that you have been given wool from anyone always pleases us all. What a perfect Sister you have, she obviously has the same giving nature as you. These squares are really eye catching indeed. I've never done that stitch for KAS. Maybe I'll give it a try in 2026 xx
(is it the block stitch square in the KAS pattern book?)
Yes,it is Karen, only I gartered where it said stocking stitch and vice versa....except for the slip stitches, which I slipped purlways as you would normally do. Also added an extra ridge of garter to the black 'dashes'.
These will certainly stand out in a blanket, Bev! Beautiful.
Great squares.
Pétillants carrés pour terminer novembre Bev : j'ai ajouté une photo de chapeaux prise un jour enfin plus lumineux.
Vous nous avez vraiment aidées à tricoter le noir ce qui n'était pas évidant au début : mille fois MERCI
Just want to say a very hearty THANK YOU to Bev for guiding us through another month of creativity and warmth. Some of the squares, hats, and blankets shown here are truly inspirational.
Finishing up the sparkly black.
