WELCOME TO NOVEMBER
The CoM (colour of the month) is......
BLACK
An understated colour that can go unnoticed until you are looking to make another colour or a pattern stand out.
It is not an 'easy' colour to knit with, if like me, your eyes are getting just a little older.
This month, whatever you may have on your hooks and needles, a little black can go a long way......
It makes a fabulous contrasting colour
Thinking zebra stripes?????
So if you have a little (or a lot) of black in your stash.....
please consider popping a little into a square or two.

Love, love, LOVE all the colours in your hats, Diane!!
I couldn't resist playing 'pick a fave', so...........middle bottom row and top right. :))
These are lush hats Diane ❤️
I love these, Diane, Super mix of colours.
What a fabulous introduction, Bev. You have chosen perfect examples to inspire and encourage us. Like you, I need bright lights these days, whatever color I work with, but especially when working with black. I have big plans, though, so we'll see what I can accomplish.
I'd forgotten how I made the snowflake pattern look more like a flower by using a bright colour (2nd photo down). I'll have to revisit that one!
Oooo are you going to make some more? The effect is really striking!
Thanks Ladies, for your kind words on the intro. I see stripes on my agenda this month. Unless I'm in bright sunshine/natural light, I can't contemplate black PJs these days.
I'm so sorry to hear your sad news Ada. I loved getting parcels from the two of you with beautiful squares and the most gorgeous crotcheted dolls. Your blanket is beautiful!
Oh Ada, what a shock. So very sad. You made a beautiful blanket as a memory to a loving and caring lady. I wrote an email to you to your personal email account. Wish you strength. xo
