What will be on your needles and hooks

this June?

The CoM (colour of the month) is.........

When researching the CoM, I discovered that  the colour purple symbolizes many things:

creativity, peace, magic/mystery, royalty....to name a few.

I'm sure you will find at least one of the above in each of the pics below.

Whatever your favourite shade, whatever your favourite stitch........

or whatever project you are trying to finish from previous months.....

we'd love to see it in June.

    • Arlene, your use of leftovers is top-notch.  I like the added texture where you joined the lilac yarn ... slip stitches???  Glad you won yarn chicken!

      • I alternated colours (purple / lavender).  If I only alternate 1 colour and carry the yarn behind 1 stitch, it actually creates it's own pattern on the back side of the square without loose threads floats to trap little fingers.

Also, I used 1 row of Stocking stitch in the gartered stitch rows to get a clearer stitch effect when I starte the lavender.   Working from the smallest corner and increasing on a Mitred square is my favourite method, but it also takes more yarn to complete a row as you get to the larger side of the square - hence "yarn chicken" !  smile

    • J'aime beaucoup ces 2 carrés Arlène : les couleurs superbes  et je trouve le point entre les rangs mousse du plus bel effetsmile

    • Oh Arlene...these are just SO pretty!! I thought your self-striping yarn was so pretty on its own, but with the addition of the lavender, it's gone to a whole new level of gorgeousness.

    • Way to use up your skeint to the last little bit.  Playing chicken with yarn can be so fun sometimes...other times a disaster!

    • They've turned out beautifully, Arlene. Very inventive!

I knit the majority of these hats over the last 2 months using leftovers of my blanket yarns and other oddments from friends etc.   A good friend has kindly sewn them all up for me, so a big shout out "THANK YOU MARINA"  xx

    • Amazing amount of beanies, super job!

    • What a collection you and your friends have created.   Big thanks to all of you!

    • Fabuleuse collection Karen : vos bonnets sont tous plus beaux les uns que les autres.
