I was asked to do a Mission Sunday at Kidzone in our church. One of the activities we did to teach the kids about our blanket program was to have them design a blanket.

The Knit-a-square program has inspired volunteers in more than 60 countries to knit and crochet more than 1.5 million blanket squares, hats, hand-warmers and toys. Your efforts are helping to keep the children warm but to keep this operation running
Our volunteers have been busy during winter months making as many distributions as possible. The most recent distribution, made by Wandi, was in part to celebrate Mandela Day.
Every year, an annual subscription fee is paid to Weebly, the company that hosts our KAS Shop. This also includes a domain name fee so that we can own knit-a-square-southafrica.com. The total amount is $334.90 US.
Many times this month area creches and daycares have come to The Barn to collect blankets to distribute. Unfortunately we do not get many photos of the children receiving their blankets.
